IT’S BACK!
Following last year’s EPIC success, My EPIC Era 2018 once again launches its competition for schools and pupils throughout the UK. Brought to you by 60 second histories My EPIC Era aims to encourage pupils interest in history.
60 second histories
60 second histories are an online history film resource for schools. 60 second histories are all about delivering EPIC history in a simple and engaging format, their fantastic range of 60 second films are available online for teachers and students to view both in the classroom and at home.
60 second histories know, from working with and listening to teachers, that some of the best learning happens when they use lesson-flipping techniques. That’s why they launched My EPIC Era, a competition that puts the pupils in the driving seat, allowing them to share their passion and knowledge of their own favourite historical era.
My EPIC Era competition is open now and entries will be accepted until the 31 March 2018.
Prizes
The winning entry will have their EPIC era made into a 60 second history film, or series of films. Together with the 60 second histories crew, the winners will help write, direct and star in the film/s. The films will then be loaded onto the website for the whole teaching world to see and use in their classrooms.
The second prize winner will receive a half-day workshop at their school delivered by The History Squad (worth £350) and three runners up will receive an EPIC History goody bag for their class.
How to enter
Entry must be made online at: myepicera.co.uk
Entrants are asked to name their favourite era in history and tell us about it – they can write about it, draw it, make it – they can even sing or film it.
